Styling Session + Links

One-hour session with Sylvia to discuss your wardrobe or specific (for a special event, for example) styling needs. After your session, you will receive an email with shop-able links to items that are missing from your closet, along with styling tips on how to wear them with other items in a way that reflects your signature style.

Closet Edit

Three hour session to streamline your current wardrobe by eliminating any unflattering, outdated and outworn items. Most clients opt to book this service before a regular styling session since it gives Sylvia an opportunity to understand your go to style, see what’s already in your closet, and suggest additions to enhance your regulars. If additional time is needed, a separate session may be booked.

Bespoke Styling Package

An annual service bundle that includes the Closet Edit, a seasonal Styling Session + Links and Look Book with four to five outfit combinations twice a year.

The Process

01. consultation

Book a free 20 minute video consultation to discuss your styling needs and ask Sylvia any questions you may have about the process. Once you sign up you will receive a questionnaire that you should fill out and return before your call.

02. closet edit

Most clients use this service before booking a styling session. It’s a the best way for Sylvia to understand your go to style and assess your wardrobe needs. It is not required unless your goal is to curate a capsule wardrobe.

03. styling

Sylvia will help you put together elevated looks for everyday or special occasions, or curate a capsule wardrobe for work or travel. She can create personalized Look Books with outfit combinations and styling tips for a separate fee.

04. sourcing

Sylvia will provide lists with shop-able links to items that you need or that she thinks will enhance your existing wardrobe.

Common questions, answered.

Sylvia conducts her styling sessions and closet edits via FaceTime*. When you sign up for an appointment using Calendly, you will be asked to provide your phone number. Sylvia will call you at the time you have selected.

An initial complimentary FaceTime consultation is required before booking any styling sessions. This consult is an opportunity for you to describe your styling needs and ask any questions you may have about the process. It also helps Sylvia pinpoint the scope of work to be done and suggest a strategy for accomplishing your goals.

After your initial consult, you can decide which styling package makes the most sense for you based on your priorities and budget. Most clients choose to sign up for a Closet Edit before booking a styling appointment. This will not only streamline your wardrobe, but it will maximize the time spent putting together looks in subsequent sessions.

* In person appointments are optional for clients who reside within 20 miles of Northwest Washington D.C. but are subject to additional charges.

No preparation is required, but here are a few tips to maximize your time with Sylvia.

For Closet Edits, have the items in your wardrobe grouped together by category (pants, shirts, dresses, etc.) prior to your appointment. Be prepared to show Sylvia your current “go to” outfit formula and the cherished items you can’t live without to give her a sense of your style comfort zone.

Regular sessions can be used to style specific items in your closet, put together looks for specific occasions, create capsule wardrobes for everyday or for travel, and more. You should arrive to your appointment knowing which one or combination of these services is your priority.

During a Closet Edit, Sylvia will evaluate your wardrobe and help you eliminate any unflattering, outdated, or worn out items. She may ask you to try on certain pieces to assess the fit, and will talk you through her recommendations.

During a styling session, Sylvia will put together outfit combinations using items in your closet. You are welcome to record the session, and are encouraged to photograph flat lays of the wardrobe pieces together for future reference.

Cancellation less than 24 hours prior to your appointment is not allowed, but you are able to reschedule to a different time within the same month.
